Urbania is a scientific journal, published annually by doble blinded peer review. Its aim is to publish original research by students and professionals in archaeology, history, anthropology, or other related disciplines, which deal with the theme of urbanity in past societies. Apart from articles, Urbania incorporates sections aimed at scientific communication in general, such as notes, reports, interviews, etc. The journal is currently included in Latindex Catalogue (electronic version: folio 29123, print version: folio 3117), meeting the required quality for editorial criteria.

Urbania maintains as a policy the anonymity of both the evaluators and the authors of the works throughout the evaluation process. This provision complies with in order to obtain greater objectivity and equality in the correctness of the pleadings between all parties.

The distribution mechanisms of the journal published in paper include its direct sale of print copies at national and international scientific meetings, conferences and seminars organized by Urbania; as well as sale points in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and the city of La Plata. Since issuing its 6th number, Urbania is published only in digital format, and its acquisition will be made through free and open access in our website and other internet platforms.
